Accuride Corp. has announced Lewis Kling has been appointed to the company’s board of directors as an independent director, effective immediately. “We are honored to welcome Lew to the Accuride board and look forward to benefiting from his extensive corporate leadership and broad business expertise,” says Bill Lasky, Accuride chairman. “Given his experience setting strategy for several global industrial companies, Lew will provide a unique perspective in helping the board shape the course of Accuride’s long-term growth and development.”

Kling fills the board seat vacant since the departure of former director Robert Kelly on July 29. “I look forward to working with — and learning from — Lew,” says Rick Dauch, president and chief executive officer. “He has a tremendous track record of fixing and growing manufacturing and engineering businesses, which is exactly what we are doing here at Accuride.”
