ATA looking for driver nominees for next America’s Road Team

Volvo America's Road TeamThe American Trucking Associations is seeking nominations for its next America’s Road Team program, which is a group of ATA-selected drivers who serve as ambassadors for the trucking industry.

The 2015-2016 team, sponsored by Volvo Trucks, will be made up of a men and women drivers who will take time away from the truck to meet with members of the public, the media, students, transportation officials and policy makers to show the industry’s “commitment to safety, the essentiality of the trucking industry and the industry’s sustainability record,” says ATA’s announcement.

They’ll also attend events like the National Truck Driving Championships.

“America’s Road Team are great ambassadors for our industry,” said ATA President and CEO Bill Graves. “They have represented all segments of trucking and every region of the country and I look forward to this new team continuing to reflect that diversity.”
