Cookeville, Tenn.-based Averitt Express (No. 21 on the CCJ Top 250) has added locations in Hagerstown, Md., and St. Albans, W.V., to help the company better handle its growth in the Northeast, the company announced Tuesday.

Averitt says the new locations will help the company meet freight demands by allowing them to place more trucks in the two states.

“We’re committed to continuing on our path of growth, and these new locations are important strategic points that will help us do just that,” says Elise Leeson, Averitt’s vice president of human resources.

With the opening of the two new locations, the company is looking to hire both solo and team drivers for each location and is offering a $5,000 sign-on bonus for qualified drivers.
