Cadec Global buys InSight application from Blue Sky Technologies

Cadec Global, a provider of driver and vehicle data for private fleets, announced that it has acquired the InSight business intelligence application source code and distribution rights to the transportation market from Blue Sky Technologies. The acquisition enables Cadec to control product updates and to ensure that those updates are based on customer input.

Private fleets and other transportation providers are under constant pressure to increase productivity and lower costs, Cadec said, leading more companies to invest in the macro and micro fleet visibility that the InSight analytics application provides. The application has easy-to-configure scorecards and quick-to-implement alerts and gives users at-a-glance visibility of delivery operations by monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) in the areas of safety, customer service, compliance, maintenance and cost.

The software gives drivers, dispatchers, fleet managers, executives, service reps and customers real-time information to make better, more well-informed decisions about every aspect of their operations, Cadec said.

“InSight has long been an essential component of our PowerVue solution, enabling us to provide the up-to-minute data our customers need to make better decisions for their fleet, their business and their customers,” said Tom Flies, chief operating officer, Cadec. “Having InSight under the Cadec brand helps us maintain our leadership position as the industry’s analytics provider and enables us to meet growing customer demand for integrated data that can easily be accessed, analyzed and acted upon.”
