Cadec, a provider of onboard computing and communications systems for private fleets that give up-to-the-minute driver and vehicle data, announced it has moved its data center operations to better support existing and future customer capacity.
The company’s new enterprise-class data center, operated by Windstream Business and located in McLean, Va., has increased capacity to meet the growing needs of Cadec’s existing and future private fleet customers. The back-end host architecture of PowerVue, Cadec’s fleet management system, takes advantage of Windstream’s state-of-the-art data center to provide faster data processing and improved performance.
“This move to our new data center is the natural evolution of our focus on making it easy for private fleets to access, analyze and act upon up-to-the-minute driver and vehicle data,” said Eric Witty, vice president of product management, Cadec, Inc. “By updating our data center environment, we can better meet the advanced data needs of our customers, ensuring greater reliability and security, zero downtime and room for ‘big data’ expansion.”
