The California Air Resources Board fined Golden State Lumber $20,000 for failing to inspect its diesel trucks for compliance with the state’s smoke emissions standards. CARB says its investigators found that the Petaluma-based company failed to conduct diesel truck smoke tests in 2009 as required by state law.
