E-commerce and its effects on the trucking industry will be the topic of discussion during the CCJ Market Movers town hall-style discussion at the Great American Trucking Show in Dallas next month.

The panel will be led by CNBC reporter Morgan Brennan, Avondale Partners Transportation Analyst Donald Broughton and CCJ Editor Jeff Crissey. Panelists will be Alain Bedard, chairman and CEO of TransForce; Scott Malat, chief strategy officer at XPO Logistics; and David Parker, chairman, president, founder and CEO of Covenant Transport Group.

Amazon has leased planes, trailers and is building millions of square feet of specialized warehousing; Google is exploring automated pickup and delivery vehicles; and almost every brick and mortar retailer is expanding its presence on the web. The panelists will discuss how they’re dealing with the changing demands of the marketplace in their fleets.

CCJ Market Movers will take place in the Truckstop.com Theater on the GATS show floor on Thursday, Aug. 25 at 1 p.m. Registration for Market Movers is $99 and can be done online here. Registration for GATS is free online here before the show begins Aug. 25.
