CCJ will host its annual Solutions Summit, formerly the Fall Symposium, later this year in a new location with a new format to better cater to fleet’s needs.

The event, scheduled for Nov. 13-15, will be held in Palm Springs, Calif., at the Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort and Spa, outside Los Angeles, will give attendees the opportunity to attend various breakout sessions in six different tracks. The three major topics – equipment, business and technology – will each have three different areas of focus for attendees to get the most out of the sessions. Those areas of focus include compliance, drivers and customers.

Attendees interested in equipment and compliance can attend sessions on lowering CSA scores with maintenance practices and filing driver-vehicle inspection reports. There will also be an equipment session focused on drivers, detailing ways to incentivize drivers during pre- and post-trip inspections. Finally, on the equipment side, there will be a session focusing on customers, dealing with shipper-driven truck and trailer spec’ing.

In the business track, a compliance session will deal with regulations and the bottom line. A driver-focused session will focus on trends in driver pay. Two customer sessions will key in on getting the most out of your freight contracts and limiting detention time.

Finally, on the technology track, the compliance session will feature information on going “beyond compliance” with ELD data. Two driver-technology sessions will key in on driver engagement and driver pay and incentives, and a customer session will focus on business intelligence and how to analyze customer profitability.

In addition to the numerous breakout sessions, the CCJ Solutions Summit will also feature general sessions on workforce diversification, a 2018 economic outlook, e-commerce, CSA and crisis management.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in town hall-style panels on trucking technology, equipment and maintenance, attracting modern drivers and mastering compliance.
