Comdata has launched a new mobile application for drivers called FleetAdvance Mobile. The app was designed to help transportation companies increase fuel savings by giving drivers a tool to make more informed purchasing decisions, it says.

The mobile app allows a driver to search by current location or city and state to find the lowest prices in the area. With a registered Comdata card, the app will display the best net price available to the driver. It also allows for the management of card balances, with the option to transfer all or a portion of the funds to a driver’s designated bank account.

The initial release also includes the ability to rate locations and view ratings from others.

“FleetAdvance Mobile was designed to help a fleet get the most out of every mile. Drivers can plan their trip ahead of time, as well as use the app to adjust if a need arises on the road,” said Randy Morgan, president of North American Trucking at Comdata.

FleetAdvance Mobile is for Apple and Android devices and can be downloaded from the Apple Store and Google Play. It is offered as a complementary service to Comdata’s FleetAdvance product that was launched in 2013 which provides real-time transaction scoring, immediate notifications, management console and analytics.
