Comdata’s FleetAdvance tool has been named as a 2014 Best Practice Award Winner from The Data Warehousing Institute (TDWI), a provider of education and research in the business intelligence and data warehousing industry.

FleetAdvance, Comdata’s real-time transaction scoring platform, is available to the company’s fleet card customers. The platform won in TDWI’s Right-Time Business Intelligence and Analytics category. FleetAdvance was introduced to the market in May 2013. It captures card transaction data as the card is swiped and scores the transaction against preset criteria such as price or location. This data is compiled and shared back to the fleet in real time to help make smarter fuel purchasing decisions.

FleetAdvance provides analytics tools including robust dashboards, scoreboards and route-planning features to drive cost-saving opportunities for over-the-road and commercial fleets.

To help bring its vision of identifying a successful fuel transaction to life, Comdata partnered with Credera, a management and technology consulting firm. Comdata leveraged Credera’s experience in business intelligence to make the FleetAdvance product a reality.

TDWI’s Best Practices Awards honors companies that demonstrate excellence in developing, deploying and maintaining business intelligence and data warehousing applications. Winners were selected based on business impact, maturity, innovation and relevance. Comdata and other TDWI Best Practices Awards recipients will be recognized at the TDWI World Conference on July 20-25, 2014 at the Sheraton Boston Hotel.
