Coxreels’ Brawny upgrade is available for any of the company’s hand cranks as well as its motorized 1125 Series hose reel. The option strengthens the discs and the drum, helping to prevent potential damage under increased pressure usage.
Brawny reels are designed with 10-gauge steel plates welded into each disc to help keep them from bowing, while the center drum is thickened and upgraded from standard 16-gauge to 14-gauge steel to help prevent deformation and eventual crushing of the drum that can be caused by hose pressure.
