CrossCountry Courier Inc. announced that as of Aug. 1, the company will begin doing business under the name of CrossCountry Freight Solutions. Originally founded in 1980, CrossCountry Courier has transitioned from a local courier into a for-hire carrier that provides all types of freight solutions for customers in the Upper Midwest. Service is concentrated in North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota and portions of Iowa, Montana and Wisconsin.

CrossCountry Freight Solutions employs company drivers and operates its own fleet of more than 200 power units. The company’s primary focus is standard and expedited less-than-truckload freight transportation, while other services include white glove, hot shot, regional truckload, dedicated, distribution and warehousing services.

Janeanne Bischke, owner and chief executive officer, says the name CrossCountry Freight Solutions better reflects the company’s current business offerings while retaining the brand recognition upon which CrossCountry has built its reputation.
