Part 1: Using technology to improve driver performance
Today’s fleets are embracing technology to improve driver safety, fuel efficiency and productivity. What technology investments have the biggest payback? What cost-benefit analysis do fleets use to determine where to invest? How do drivers respond to these technologies? Can their adoption play a role in recruiting and retaining drivers? How might these technologies evolve in the future?
Part 2: Using telematics to improve uptime and productivity
By preventing a breakdown or an unnecessary trip to the dealer that would result in lost revenue and additional driver expenses, remote diagnostic systems can save fleets considerable money. In fact, the ability to stay ahead of developing problems has reduced downtime by more than 30 percent for some fleets. This session will discuss fleet adoption of these systems, the pros and cons of open versus proprietary systems and how such programs might be further integrated in the future.
