Famed political strategist Karl Rove to talk politics and trucking at CCJ Spring Symposium

In addition to breakout session focusing on business, equipment, technology and more, along with panel discussions about e-commerce and autonomous technologyCCJ‘s Spring Symposium will offer fleet managers the opportunity to hear from experts on the current political climate, the economy and how to recruit people who thrive in disruptive situations.

These topics will be discussed in detail by Symposium’s keynote speakers – political strategist Karl Rove, Fast Company magazine editor and managing director Robert Safian and economist William Strauss.

The event will open Monday, May 22, with Safian, who will speak about “Generation Flux,” which is described as a mindset embraces instability and thrives in disruption. Safian will speak on how to recruit, invest in and empower those who do thrive in these situations.

William Strauss, senior economist and economic advisor for the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, will speak Tuesday, May 23, on how President Donald Trump’s economic policies will affect trucking companies and the trucking industry as a whole. He will also help inform attendees on how to prepare for the future of the economy.

Finally, famed political strategist and former White House Deputy Chief of Staff Karl Rove will speak Tuesday afternoon at Symposium. He will cover how Trump’s administration will impact infrastructure and what trucking’s place will be. Rove will give his insights on what the trucking industry can expect throughout the Trump presidency.
