The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration on Monday, Aug. 6, will publish a final rule addressing two petitions by the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance regarding brake adjustment limits in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.

The rulemaking amends the clamp and rotochamber brake actuator readjustment limits, clarifies their application and corrects an error in cross-referencing a Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard.

The rule will be effective 30 days after publication. To view the final rule, go to www.regulations.gov; the docket number is FMCSA–2010-0257.
