Trucking fleets looking to get the most out of their equipment when it comes to staying compliant and keeping drivers and customers happy can learn new and better practices at the CCJ Solutions Summit later this year.

The annual event, formerly known as the CCJ Fall Symposium, will be held Nov. 13-15 in Palm Springs, Calif., at the Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort and Spa, outside Los Angeles.

There will be four breakout sessions during the event focusing on equipment along three different tracks – compliance, drivers and customers.

In the compliance track, equipment managers can learn more about maintenance practices to improve their fleet’s CSA scores, including developing a preventive maintenance schedule that focuses on the most common violations. Another equipment session focusing on compliance will deal with filling out Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports, including when you need one and when you don’t, what should be on it and what should be done with it.

On the drivers track, a breakout will dive into incentivizing drivers for pre- and post-trip inspections. This session will go into how some fleets offer small bonuses for clean Level 1 and Level 2 inspections.

Finally, in a customer-focused session dealing with equipment, attendees can learn about shipper-driven truck and trailer spec’ing. Fleets who are more aggressive with aerodynamics and fuel efficiency can attract more green-minded shippers. Greater efficiency can also mean a better margin on loads.

Solutions Summit will also offer attendees the chance to participate in breakout sessions dealing with business and technology, also focusing on compliance, drivers and customers. More on the sessions and events offered during the Summit, including a schedule, can be found here.

Registration is available here for $495, which includes all sessions, meals and the golf or Jeep tour activity. Hotel accommodations are separate.

CCJ Solutions Summit is open only to fleet management.
