HELP Inc., which oversees PrePass and other truck safety services, announced three new appointments to its board of directors: Drew Boyce, Delaware Department of Transportation’s director of planning; Maj. Michael Eslinger, commander of the Indiana Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division; and Capt. Michael Krumm of Michigan State Police.
To ensure its services benefit both the public and private sectors, the HELP Board is comprised of an equal number of officials representing the public sector and commercial vehicle operators.
“These transportation and enforcement leaders are perfect additions to the HELP Board because they bring a wealth of knowledge about truck safety, enforcement and compliance to HELP’s future direction and policy-making,” said HELP President and Chief Executive Officer Karen Rasmussen. “Each of them also represents states that are expanding the number of PrePass-equipped sites, affirming the value of our services to those agencies responsible for safety and infrastructure protection.”
PrePass inspection facility bypass services are available for qualified carriers at 310 equipped inspection facilities in 31 states. Currently, 511,598 trucks are enrolled and electronically pre-screened and cleared for bypass in these states. At least a dozen new sites are in various stages of planning or construction.
