Icom America’s dustproof, waterproof F3261D series VHF/UHF portable radio utilizes 6.25 kHz IDAS technology and complies with the Federal Communications Commission narrowband mandate. The lone worker and man down functions both activate emergency signals if the transceiver is not used or left in a horizontal position for a set duration.

Select versions have built-in GPS and a position reporting function that sends current position data to other radios or dispatch stations at regular intervals or a preprogrammed time. The portable accepts an optional GPS microphone accessory; other features include 800mW loud audio, built-in voice scrambler, 2-Tone/5-Tone and MDC 1200 signaling.
