Isotrak, a global provider of GPS vehicle tracking and fleet management systems, announced a strategic partnership with Intermec, a workflow performance company. Isotrak will deliver its transportation and logistics software on Intermec CN70 and CN70e handheld mobile computers.
Certified for the CN70 and CN70e is Isotrak’s Active Transport Management System (ATMSi). With ATMSi certified on the CN70, Isotrak says customers can benefit from the convergence of real-time fleet telematics and the CN70’s other features and capabilities, such as imaging and scanning, RFID and ePOD.
“Customers can conduct their transactional work and see the health of their vehicles on one display using one fleet management system,” said Garrick Fiala, manager, software engineering at Intermec. “In addition to ATMSi, the CN70 also leverages its integrated imaging technology and Mobile Document Imaging software to enable customers to initiate invoices in the field and get cash flow started faster, long before the truck ever reaches the yard.”
Laying the foundation for the partnership is Isotrak’s successful adoption of Intermec’s Skynax software as part of ATMSi. Using Skynax as its communications, data and system management layer within the ATMSi platform, Isotrak says it is able to deliver to its customers the latest generation of its software faster with all the benefits of Skynax’s integrated capabilities.
