Kenworth has added a 40-inch sleeper option to its T880 and T680 models, which the company says provides a 260-pound weight savings compared to the 52-inch regional sleeper.

A 24-inch wide by 78-inch long, liftable bunk with 90-degree tilt offers access to storage under the bunk. The sleeper provides more than 22 cubic feet of storage space, including shelving and a cell phone cubby. There are two standard toolbox doors.

Diamond VIT or Vantage interior can be spec’d at the time of order.

An optional 19-inch by 36-inch stationary or sliding window on the back of the sleeper are also available, as are two additional 19-inch by 12-inch outboard windows. Additional options include LED marker lights, extreme temperature insulation, premium speakers, side extenders and stainless steel sun visor.

Both the T880 and T680 outfitted with a 40-inch sleeper are now available for order.
