McLeod Software announced the release of Version 16.1 of its LoadMaster and PowerBroker enterprise software systems for asset and non-asset transportation companies, respectively.

The highlight of the release is a new data warehouse and business intelligence product, McLeod IQ, that is designed to take advantage of current Microsoft tools such as PowerBI.

McLeod IQ provides insight into the key indicators of its customers’ businesses, the company says, by enabling them to slice, dice, measure, and report on their data in new ways using simple tools like Microsoft Excel Pivot tables.

McLeod IQ utilizes the Microsoft Business Intelligence stack to create a multidimensional cube that shows important metrics against any type of dimensional data such as by customer, location or driver. These capabilities show relationships and correlations that are not normally easy to see from standard reports.

The PowerBroker system has a new Carrier Relationship Management module, which works in a similar way to McLeod’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and allows a broker to focus on finding and building relationships with key carriers.

McLeod also has a new LogixSolutions Carrier Onboarding process that delivers carrier qualification and management in a single, paperless tool within PowerBroker. The solution utilizes an electronic form and is driven by a detailed workflow to automate the evaluation of prospective carriers.

LoadMaster has a number of new interfaces with third party technology providers. With the fuel interface with electronic payment provider EFS, motor carriers can now control the amount of fuel and related products purchased at out-of-network fuel stops.

A new hours-of-service integration option is available with Teletrac Fleet Director and RydeSmart applications. The integration includes the retrieval of Hours of Service data from Teletrac into LoadMaster for near real-time updates.

Also included in Version 16.1 of LoadMaster are integrations with the WebTech Wireless Quadrant mobile platform and additional functionality for Omnitracs XRS and Enterprise Systems. With Omnitracs XRS, the new features include the ability to capture images and electronic signature capture. The interface with Omnitracs Enterprise Systems now include Media Manager integration to send and receive images and document types in the cab.
