SmartWay verifies Michelin retreads

Michelin Americas Truck Tires announced that three Michelin retreads have been added to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s list of SmartWay-verified technologies,and four are in the process of receiving SmartWay verification. With SmartWay-erified dual drive and trailer treads and wide single drive and trailer treads, Michelin said it will have full coverage in SmartWay retreads for over-the-road applications.

Michelin’s SmartWay-verified retreads include the XT-1 AT Pre-Mold for trailer applications, the XDA2 19 AT Pre-Mold and XDA2 23 AT Pre-Mold for drive axle applications. The company said its retreads that meet SmartWay standards and are pending SmartWay verification include the Michelin X One XDA-HTTM Pre-Mold and XDA2 23 AT Custom-Mold for drive axle applications, and the Michelin X One XTA Pre-Mold and XT-1 Custom Mold for trailer applications.
