Following the 1,050 truck order the company announced last week, International Truck July 27 announced it has finalized the remaining 7,950 tractor orders from Quality Companies, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Celadon Group, Inc.

The 9,000 vehicle commitment consists primarily of International ProStar and LoneStar tractors powered by Cummins ISX-15 engines, Navistar says, and will be spread across the next three years.

Navistar’s announcement is good news for a company that’s currently facing lawsuits from both regulators and consumers over the company’s failed attempt at meeting 2010 emissions standards using only EGR.

The company financially has also been gaining back some ground in recent quarters.
