The Grand Alliance – a consortium of three of the world’s largest shipping lines – that now calls on Tacoma’s Washington United Terminals has led to a shift in how truckers access the terminal. All truck drivers bringing containers to the terminal now will use a new truck queue, and only bobtail drivers will access the terminal via Port of Tacoma Road.

Grand Alliance members are Hapag-Lloyd of Germany, Orient Overseas Container Line of Hong Kong and NYK Line of Japan, along with associated carrier ZIM Integrated Shipping of Israel.
