IMG_2431Omnitracs, a provider of fleet management systems to transportation and logistics companies, has launched a new information site for the trucking industry about the electronic logging device (ELD) mandate. The website, www.ELDfacts.com, will help fleets understand the upcoming Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) ELD mandate now slated for late September, the company says.

The online resource center has blogs, case studies, news updates, frequently asked questions, white papers, video tutorials, and more.

“From scouring through pages and pages of regulations, to trying to make sense of the word on the street, zeroing in on accurate information regarding the ELD ruling can be daunting,” said Tom Cuthbertson, vice president of regulatory compliance for Omnitracs. “Leveraging our team of experts, we’re breaking down the regulation and deciphering what it all means for fleets managers and drivers. ELDfacts.com is designed to be the one stop shop for industry professionals in need of answers.”

With the ELD mandate expected to affect more than three million vehicles and 3.4 million drivers, ELDfacts.com will offer up-to-date news, paired with expert commentary and advice.

Visitors to www.ELDfacts.com can sign up to receive alerts as critical information is posted to the site.
