Pegasus TransTech hires logistics exec George Abernathy

transflo-mobile-plus-1 2Pegasus TransTech, a provider of enterprise mobility, telematics, and business process automation for the transportation industry, announced that it has hired George Abernathy as head of supply chain solutions.

In his new role, Mr. Abernathy will oversee Transflo software solutions for the freight broker and factoring segments and will serve as an executive advisor to the company and its clients. He reports to the President and Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Abernathy brings more than 30 years of industry experience with transportation and technology providers. He was president of transportation solutions firm R2 Logistics and previously served as President of Transplace, a large non-asset third party logistics and truck brokerage services company that was purchased by private equity firm Greenbriar Equity Group in 2013.

Hundreds of brokers, including eight of the top ten, use Transflo software to process and manage documents. The company says its digital applications are used by clients to optimize revenue cycles, custom-defined workflows, and third-party integrations.

Previously, Mr. Abernathy also served as executive vice president and chief operating officer at Transplace and has held leadership positions with NTE, Clicklogistics, Logistics.com, J.B. Hunt, and North American Van Lines. In 2009, he was named Marketing Executive of the Year by the Transportation Marketing Communications Association.
