PeopleNet, a Trimble company and provider of fleet mobility technology, has created a document that analyzes the issues fleets should consider for complying with the Electronic Logging Device (ELD) mandate and the new law for tracking hours of service (HOS). PeopleNet says its participation in government committees for safety, regulatory and technology issues make it a trusted resource for ELD information.

“The latest ruling in March indicating that the rule would go into effect two years from the final rule has catapulted ELD to a high priority for fleet planning,” said Brian McLaughlin, president of PeopleNet. “As fleets begin to prepare for their compliance due dates, this paper will help them navigate the many decisions facing them. In addition to selecting a provider and an ELD that fits their current needs, fleets must consider how their choices will support growth. We developed insights and analysis of key issues that will help fleets intelligently assess the technology landscape.”
