Photos: Carriers haul nearly 250,000 wreaths to Arlington for Wreaths Across America

Nearly a quarter-million wreaths were placed on headstones at Arlington National Cemetery this weekend — allowing Wreaths Across America for the first time to place a wreath on every grave site at Arlington.

Roughly 25,000 volunteers showed up to assist in the wreath-placing ceremony, meant to honor fallen U.S. veterans. Similar ceremonies took place at veterans’ cemeteries nationwide.

Each year, the trucking industry plays a pivotal role in making WAA’s mission possible. Below are photos and video of trucks and carriers bringing loads of wreaths to Arlington for the ceremony:
