PPG Commercial Coatings’ Delfleet Essential Basecoat is a 3.5 VOC basecoat designed to complement the Delfleet product line and increase its capabilities. The basecoat is intended for value-conscious fleet refinishers, OEMs and collision centers aiming for greater productivity, more efficiency and ease of use, and is recommended for overall color repair, refurbishing and when striping is required.

The basecoat is formulated for enhanced durability and faster dry speeds, making it suitable for two-tone jobs or striping. Since the basecoat is mixed from the same color formula as the single-stage topcoat, lower shop inventory is possible. The basecoat offers pearl color capability, along with solids and metallic colors. To keep the Delfleet Essential line efficient and to keep mixing easy, both the basecoat and single-stage topcoats can be mixed from the same color formula.
