“We’re pleased to offer this new site so close to two of the main truck routes in this area of the province,” said Alain Sayeur, general manager of Centre du Camion Amos. “With this facility’s drive-through service bays covering nearly half of the building, we’ll have room to provide service for at least 15 trucks at one time. We’ll also have additional parts inventory capacity with a large 20,000 square-foot parts department, including more than 10,000 square feet of warehouse space and nearly 2,500 square feet of parts display.”
The new facility more than triples the size of the dealership from the size of its previous location 68 kilometers to the south in Val d’Or. The location in Val d’Or will remain open as a parts and service facility and is now called Kenworth Val d’Or. The Amos and Val d’Or facilities also have an affiliated location – Kenworth La Sarre in La Sarre, Quebec.
Centre du Camion Amos is located at 145 Quebec Route 111 East on about 5.5 acres. It is open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday and offers 24-hour emergency service. The phone number is 819-732-6471. In addition to Alain Sayeur, key personnel include Yves Germain, parts manager, and Pascal Sayeur, service manager. The dealership offers full warranty support for the PACCAR MX-13 engine and parts delivery service.
“With our new facility added to the Val d’Or and La Sarre locations, we can offer a higher level of service to local mining and logging companies, plus contractors, pick-up and delivery couriers and food haulers,” Sayeur said. “By keeping our Val d’Or location open as a parts and service facility, truck drivers traveling east or west bound on the Trans-Canada Quebec Route 117 will still have easy access to Kenworth parts and service support.”
The Kenworth dealerships in Amos, Val d’Or and La Sarre are part of the Kenworth dealer network of more than 360 locations in the United States and Canada.
