Do you operate a Freightliner Coronado or 122SD? What about International’s Lonestar or 9900i? Maybe Kenworth’s W900? And let’s not forget Peterbilt’s Model 389 or Western Star’s 4900. Whichever tractor you run, CCJ needs your opinion.

We’re seeking input from trucking companies for reviews of Class 8 long-nose conventional trucks to add to CCJ’s Reader Reviews, a site we’ve built to help fleet managers and executives make smarter buying decisions. Click here to take our brief survey and have your say.

CCJ’s Reader Reviews provides the detailed real-world product evaluations fleet executives have been requesting for years. Reviewed equipment items already on the site include 13-liter diesel engines, automated-manual transmissions, electronic logging devices, Class 8 sleeper trucks and pickup trucks.

Also, CCJ’s Reader Reviews recently added navigation units to its list of fleet-reviewed products and equipment. Reviewed units and apps include the ALK Co-Pilot, Telogis Navigation, Garmin Dezl and Rand McNally’s IntelliRoute TND. Click any of those links to see reviews for each. Also, click the screenshot to the right to visit the navigation reviews hub on the Reader Reviews site.

To gather our Reader Reviews, CCJ editors ask qualified fleet operators to evaluate certain products they already use. Reviewers rank each truck, component or technology on specific criteria from a low of 1 to a high of 5. They also can comment on their overall experiences with the product or service. Evaluations are collected through online surveys and interviews.

Each criteria’s numerical score is an average of all reviewers’ criteria scores; a product’s overall ranking is an average of numerical scores. Reviewers remain anonymous, but are identified with general information on fleet size, freight type and geographic location.

Visit CCJ’s Reader Reviews to learn more, read reviews and give input on the equipment you run. Also be on the lookout for information from CCJ’s Reader Reviews in many of the current and future articles that appear daily online and in CCJ’s monthly print publication.
