Derek Kaufman – chief operation officer of Mission Motors, a San Francisco-based developer of electric drive systems – will speak to attendees of the 2012 International Big R Show on Sunday, Oct. 28, where he will discuss “Powertrain Trends and the Reman Opportunities They Represent.”

For 35 years, Kaufman has worked in the transportation industry for companies including Freightliner Corp. and Hino Trucks. In addition to these corporate positions, he is an entrepreneur who founded C3 Network to help clients launch new products. In 2010, Kaufman joined a Bay Area consortium of investors to head up Glacier Bay Technology as its chief executive officer. He led the sale of company assets to a major transportation sector OEM.

“Derek Kaufman’s presentation will give us a look to the future and some suggestions on how we can capitalize on these changes,” said Bill Gager, president of the Automotive Parts Remanufacturers Association. For more information on the International Big R Show, go to www.bigrshow.com.
