SkyBitz announced a new solar-powered global positioning satellite (GPS) asset tracking system, the Falcon GXT5000.
The new system uses 3G/4G cellular networks for transportation, intermodal shipments, and other markets that rely on mobile assets.
KKW Trucking, a Pomona, California-based truckload carrier operating in 11 western states, upgraded its fleet of over 1,000 dry-van trailers to the Falcon GXT5000. Long service life, easy install and hassle-free asset tracking were attractive design features that led KKW Trucking to adopt the solar-based product.
