The Worker trim Sprinter is available only in white and on the 144-inch wheelbase and low-roof configuration and comes exclusive with the Mercedes 2.1-liter turbo diesel four-cylinder engine. The 3.0-liter diesel V6 is not available as an option, and neither is four-wheel drive.
Mercedes-Benz says the Sprinter Worker offers 5,000 pounds of towing capacity, along with 3,512 pounds maximum payload that measures out to almost 320 cubic feet.
Worker comes with a base price of $32,495 at the dealer, roughly $4,000 cheaper than a base model Sprinter 2500.
Sprinter’s Worker was designed as a bare-bones workhorse but it does come standard with Bluetooth, power windows, air conditioning, tilt and telescoping steering wheel, a four-speaker audio system and Crosswind Assist.
A $1,499 Convenience package is available as an add-on for customers who want power mirrors, cruise control, automatic lights, multifunction steering wheel and trailer hitch pre-wiring. A Utility pack adds a wood cargo floor, rear step, LED interior lights, two additional keys and glass in the rear cargo doors to the Convenience package and another $3,000 to the sticker.
An Overtime package gets you all the above with an upgraded audio system, Highbeam Assist, Blind Spot Assist, rear view camera, first aid kit and emergency flashlight.
