United Parcel Service on Wednesday, Aug. 22, announced the offer period for its acquisition of Dutch package firm TNT Express will be extended until Nov. 9 after its initial expiration date of Aug. 31. Both companies said they remained committed to the offer and are working closely to fulfill all antitrust conditions.

Under the terms of the $6.28 billion offer, UPS will acquire TNT Express to enhance its integrated global network.
