USAT Logistics, a division of USA Truck (No. 57 on the CCJ Top 250), is expanding its business with the opening of USAT Logistics de Mexico, located in Celaya, Guanajuato, Mexico.

The company says the expansion is in line with its strategy to grow into new markets and offer more services. The team in Mexico will be led by Hugo Jimenez, who has 15 years of experience in the Mexican 3PL market.

“Mexico is the USA’s third largest trading partner, representing more than $500 billion in annual trade,” says Jimenez. “The deep relationships, insights and credibility our team brings to this market means we expect to quickly make a significant impact.”

Even though President Donald Trump has pledged to renegotiate the North American Free Trade Agreement, USAT Logistics president Jim Craig says he doesn’t “expect any significant changes to NAFTA.”

“In any event, the size of the Mexico market is huge, and we have a very small portion,” he says. “For us, there is huge growth potential with or without any changes to NAFTA.”
