The New York Propane Gas Association, with support from the Propane Education & Research Council, is inviting transportation professionals to attend one of four upcoming roadshows in New York to learn about the capabilities of vehicles fueled by propane autogas. “Propane autogas is a safe, affordable, readily available and domestically produced fuel option,” says Barbara Roach, executive director at NYPGA. “These free events give fleet professionals the tools they need to consider incorporating clean-burning propane autogas-fueled vehicles into their fleet.”

The events are being held at Phelps Sungas in Geneva on Oct. 12; Hotel Sierra in Fishkill on Oct. 13; Niagara Falls Conference Center in Niagara Falls on Nov. 8; and Hilton Garden Inn in Troy on Nov. 9. “At a time when gasoline prices are continually rising, interest in alternative fuel technology is at an all-time high,” says Roy Willis, PERC president and chief executive officer. “Propane autogas can help fleet professionals save on the bottom line, and have a positive impact on reducing our nation’s carbon footprint and dependence on foreign oil.”

Representatives from American Alternative Fuels, Blue Bird Corp., Briggs & Stratton, CleanFuel USA, Ferris Industries, Roush CleanTech and TransTech Energy will be on hand to discuss the latest propane and propane autogas technologies and product offerings. Presentations will cover return on investment, cost savings, environmental benefits, tax incentives, fueling infrastructure and new products nearing release, among other topics. A representative from PERC will deliver a propane overview, and a ride-and-drive will give fleet professionals the opportunity to experience the capabilities of a vehicle fueled by propane autogas.
