McLeod Software announced that Vision Logistics Holding Corp., one of the largest flatbed/heavy-haul specialized carriers in the United States, has selected McLeod for its transportation management system. The agreement will replace Vision Logistics’ current customized operating systems with McLeod’s enterprisewide LoadMaster carrier, PowerBroker brokerage, Hire Power driver recruitment and DocumentPower Enterprise imaging management systems.
“We were looking for the best solutions available, undertook a broad market survey to identify the top providers of TMS software and performed an extensive due diligence on the short-list contenders,” says Howard Hoffmann, Vision Logistics’ chief integration officer, who worked closely with McLeod’s management during the system evaluation process. “Our pursuit team was comprised of cross-functional users, our most senior and experienced IT professionals and external consultants. The team’s vote was unanimous in favor of the selection of McLeod Software.”
Hoffmann says McLeod met all of Vision Logistics’ corporate requirements, which included enterprisewide systems using the latest technologies, clean and consistent functional design and screen layout to facilitate rapid adoption by its users, an established Web product for use by its remote stakeholders – including geographically dispersed terminals – and a strong imaging solution. “We have every confidence that our full range of TMS software needs will be met using the comprehensive systems and specialized modules being provided by McLeod,” he says.
McLeod says the two organizations will implement its fully integrated technology that will include several proven and new modules, including Internet, Container, Agent Access, Driver Detention and Responsibility Filtering. Vision Logistics also will utilize McLeod’s comprehensive document management system, DocumentPower Enterprise, that comprises workflow, automated forms recognition, rendition processing and associated imaging components.
