Venture partners EVO CNG and Trillium CNG announced the opening of Wisconsin’s largest compressed natural gas fueling station in Oak Creek, Wis. The station is the first under the EVO Trillium CNG umbrella.

The station’s anchor tenant, Sheehy Mail Contractors, operates 10 Freightliner Cascadia tractors with Cummins-Westport ISX G engines, and is planning to add more this summer.

“Sheehy Mail Contractors, Inc. is proud to partner with EVO Trillium CNG by using CNG from the Oak Creek station in the Class 8 vehicles used in our Wisconsin operations,” said President John Sheehy.  “We are excited to be part of this paradigm shift to a cleaner, more reliable fuel source.  Our goal is to operate a majority of our vehicles using CNG fuel and demonstrate that not only is this the right thing to do for the environment, but that it also makes financial sense.”

The station is open to the public and has four fast-fill dispensers and is designed to accommodate Class 8 tractors and trailers, as well as smaller vehicles.

“Building these EVO / Trillium CNG stations not only provides a convenient place for large or small CNG trucking fleets to re-fuel, it also helps support the advancement of compressed natural gas fuel use for lighter duty vehicles,” said Mary Boettcher, president of Integrys Transportation Fuels, parent of Trillium. â€śProviding CNG public access stations across the country is developing the infrastructure necessary to support CNG as the “fuel of choice” in the transportation industry.”
