Carrier Logistics Inc. (CLI), a freight management software provider for less-than-truckload (LTL) fleets, announced that AMA Transportation Co. has implemented its FACTS system.

Headquartered in Billerica, Mass., AMA Transportation operates more than 100 tractors from four facilities.

The company began searching for an operating software solution in 2017 after its legacy software had reached the end of its useful life, and was no longer being updated or supported by its supplier. Implementation of FACTS began in May of 2019.

“After evaluating systems from a number of providers, it became clear that CLI was the best choice,” said Dan Hinkel, project manager at AMA Transportation. “The ability to automate business processes with its FACTS freight management software was a strong selling point. As a standalone solution it has all the capabilities we needed.”

FACTS has functionality for planning, operations, dispatch and communication, and documentation, and is integrated with AMA’s ELD, DVIR and its fuel tax reporting software.

The company provides overnight service throughout New England and expanded service to the metropolitan New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania areas.

CLI says the FACTS system can be deployed across a network as a single database to manage all administrative, accounting and operations functions. Also part of the system is the FACTS Deal Management pricing and rating module, which provides LTL freight operations with the ability to properly price and rate shipments.
