Trucking adds 3,600 jobs in October
For-hire trucking companies added 3,600 payroll jobs in October on a seasonally adjusted basis as the overall U.S. economy added 171,000 nonfarm jobs, according to preliminary estimates. Also, BLS revised upward by 84,000 the number of jobs added in September. The national unemployment rate in October was 7.9% — a tenth of a point higher than in September.
