Volvo, Mack extending expiring uptime packages through end of year
Volvo Trucks North America and Mack Trucks announced Wednesday they are extending the coverage period for their uptime packages through the end of the year to help their customers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Volvo’s Uptime Services support bundle and Mack’s GuardDog Connect bundle are being extended for free for all models with packages expiring between May 1 and Dec. 31, 2020. Volvo says the coverage on approximately 20,000 VINs will be automatically extended.

Truck owners with questions about specific trucks and their service package expirations, extensions or renewals are encouraged to contact their local dealer for information.

dexFreight adds truck parking reservations to service
Carriers using the dexFreight digital freight matching service can now make truck parking reservations in the dexFreight app following a new partnership with TruckPark.

For the first phase of integration, truckers can reserve TruckPark’s secured parking spots suing the dexFreight app.

In the second phase, dexFreight will use the parking availability information to enhance its trip planning and load selection algorithms for carriers.
