EBE Technologies, a provider of enterprise automated decision support (ADS) applications, has updated the driver employment application within its Driver LifeCycle Solutions suite.

With the updates, EBE says the user interface offers more functionality than the previous version with a responsive layout for multi-device capability, speech-to-text functionality and new options for customizations based on a company’s recruiting and processing strategies and branding.

The application is position-specific and can be utilized by both drivers and non-drivers with functionality that presents questions based on the applicant’s responses. Applicants can utilize the applicant dashboard to monitor and track their application progress, status, and history, to keep them more involved in the application process and improve communication between recruiters and drivers.

Combined with the job order requisition module, applicants can search and view available position details based on their preferences. Recruiters are then able to respond to the applicant’s preferences and more quickly match applicants to their desired positions.

Optionally, drivers can utilize the EBE community database to review the data they provided in previous applications to leverage the information and allow them to more efficiently apply for new positions. As an alternative to keying in information, speech to text functionality makes it easier to input data, especially if the applicant is using a mobile device whose keyboard is too small to comfortably key in data. 

“The driver shortage has continually put pressure on carriers today and they are looking for any way possible to attract and retain drivers. Being able to receive quality applications and respond as quickly as possible continues to be at the forefront of every carrier’s mind,” said Cindy Nelson, EBE’s vice president of Marketing and Driver Solutions Group.  “Drivers need a simple, easy-to-use application, and carriers need accurate and complete information to process those drivers quickly.”

Implementation for this application will be available in the fourth quarter, the company said.
