EcoPower 10W-30 CJ-4/SM gets Detroit Diesel approval

Safety-Kleen Systems announced today that Detroit Diesel has approved EcoPower Heavy-Duty Diesel 10W-30 CJ-4/SM for use in Detroit Diesel engines. Safety-Kleen says this re-refined engine oil helps fleets improve fuel economy up to 1.5 percent, delivers better cold-weather starts, and protects engines and protects the environment.

The Detroit Diesel approval includes Series 50, Series 60, MBE 4000, MBE 900 and HDEP engines equipped with EGR and Diesel Particle Filters (DPF) as specified in 93K218.EcoPower Heavy-Duty Diesel 10W-30 CJ-4/SM has also been approved by or meets the requirements of Cummins, Caterpillar, Mack, Mercedes-Benz, Navistar and Volvo.
