The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration is hosting a public meeting later this week to discuss the minimum requirements for electronic logging devices to help ELD manufacturers comply with the ELD mandate.

The meeting will be held Friday, Sept. 6, from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at U.S. DOT headquarters in Washington, D.C. Those interested in attending are required to register here. Registration to attend in person ends Tuesday, Sept. 3, while registration to attend via webinar ends Thursday, Sept. 5.

FMCSA says the meeting is intended for representatives of ELD vendors to present questions and discuss issues related to the transition from automatic onboard recording devices (AOBRDs) to ELDs, to discuss the data transfer process and related technical questions, and to present other issues unique to ELD vendors.

An agenda for the meeting can be found here.
