Scott Perry, formerly Chief Technology and Procurement Officer for Ryder’s Fleet Management Solutions division, has been named Chief Operating Officer of Nikola Motor Company. Perry’s move to the hydrogen-electric truck startup, which last December unveiled a prototype of its alternative-power Class 8 tractor, brings longstanding trucking experience to the company’s management team.

“Scott Perry is one of the top logistic and industry experts in trucking,” Nikola founder and CEO Trevor Milton said announcing Perry’s hiring as well as the appointment of Kim Brady as the company’s Chief Financial Officer. “We could not be luckier to have these two on our executive team. Kim brings decades of Wall Street and private equity experience. These are two world class hires and we are thrilled to have them onboard.”

Prior to joining Nikola, Perry spent more than 25 years with Ryder System, Inc., where he was responsible for Ryder’s advanced vehicle technology strategy team, global fuel products, supplier relationship management and the connectivity/telematics strategy team.

Brady recently served as a Senior Managing Director with SOLIC Capital Advisors, LLC, bringing more than 20 years of experience in investment banking, private equity and corporate restructuring.
