Freight matching service Getloaded.com announced the launch of iGetloaded, an Apple iPhone and iPod touchscreen application designed to allow members to move freight from the convenience of a touchscreen mobile handheld device, minimizing the need to be tethered to a desktop computer.

Getloaded.com says industry analysts found that more than 60 percent of handsets shipped in 2009 were equipped with mobile browsing technology and expect this to grow to 80 percent by 2013. Getloaded.com says it found that on average more than 40 percent of its mobile customers were iPhone users and more than 20 percent of visits to the Getloaded.com mobile site were from iPhones. Analysts project that touchscreen devices like the iPhone will account for more than 58 percent of mobile users by 2013.

“With a growing national trend toward the use of touchscreen wireless devices, we are poised to serve that market demand,” says Bryan Jones, president of Getloaded.com.
