A number of highways and bridges throughout Florida are closed as of Monday morning due to flooding and high winds as Hurricane Irma continues to make its way through the state and into Georgia and Alabama.

State officials have closed I-10 in Lake City in both directions between milemarker 296 and milemarker 301 because of flooding.

In the Miami-Ft. Lauderdale area, there are some closures on I-95 and I-595, as well as some state roads and highways.

Additionally, in Tampa, the all northbound and southbound lanes of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge are closed because of high winds. Many of the state’s bridges remain under a high wind advisory, and truckers and other motorists are urged to use caution if traveling. FL511.com reports all bridges in St. John’s County (St. Augustine) are closed, along with all bridges in Duval County (Jacksonville) over the intracoastal, Dames Point Bridge, Mathews Bridge, Hart Bridge, Buckman Bridge, Main St. and Acosta Bridge.
