Penray — a manufacturer of cooling system treatments, fuel treatments and shop chemicals — announced that Howard Laga has been promoted to president of The Penray Companies Inc., responsible for managing daily operations for the company. Laga oversees the daily business of Penray and directs the formulation and implementation of short- and long-term operational goals to meet business profitability and growth objectives. In addition, Laga manages the supply chain, from the purchasing function through manufacturing, as well as all aspects of finance, information systems and sales and marketing.

“All of us at Penray would like to congratulate Howard on his well-deserved promotion to president of Penray,” says Rod McKenzie, owner of the Elk Grove Village, Ill.-based company. “This promotion reflects the fine work Howard has done to lead the Penray team through a very successful year, especially considering the significant issues reflected in our national economy. Howard has been with the company for more than 25 years, and thanks to his dedicated service and outstanding performance, Penray has become a leader in the automotive and heavy-duty chemical industries. We look forward to many, many more years of continued success and growth.”

Laga has held various management positions in Penray’s automotive and heavy-duty divisions since joining the company in 1983. Most recently, he served as the company’s vice president and general manager, and previously held the position of vice president of sales and marketing for Power Fleet, where he was a major contributor in the growth of Penray’s cooling system and fuel system treatments.
