Business and management will be the focus of four breakout sessions during CCJ’s Spring Symposium in Asheville, N.C., May 22-24.

Beginning Tuesday, May 23, Symposium attendees will have the opportunity to attend 45-minute sessions focusing on regulations in the trucking industry, recruiting, limiting litigation risks and going above and beyond compliance.

During the “Regulatory Readiness” session, fleet managers will head how the Trump administration is going to affect new regulations, including which pending rules could be thrown out and which could survive.

The next business and management session, titled “Recruiting Millennials,” will give insights on how to alter recruiting tactics to attract the next generation of truckers.

On Wednesday, May 24, the “Limiting Litigation Risks” breakout session will center around how driver assistance systems and other new technologies can help or hurt fleets in the case of an accident. These technologies can be leveraged to protect a fleet in court, but there can be drawbacks.

Finally, a breakout on “Beyond Compliance” will help fleet managers learn how to leverage electronic logging device data to improve efficiencies and shorten the learning curve for drivers.

A full schedule of all topics that will be covered at Symposium can be found here.

Registration for Symposium is available at this link for $1,295 with hotel included, or for $795 without hotel reservations.
